We raised our glasses... to raise a million!
Parkinson's Disease Society of the United Kingdom, Patron
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester GCVO, in association with Lay&Wheeler,
presented a unique wine tasting event with guest of honor Al Braunstein
of Diamond Creek Vineyards- on November 22, 1999 at Ten Trinity Square,
London. With a special introduction by writer and broadcaster Jancis Robinson
MW, plus a tutored wine tasting by Hugo Rose MW of Lay&Wheeler. Contributors
helped to try to raise one million Pounds Sterling to continue the program
of the PDS and research new treatment methods, and eventually a cure for
Parkinson's Disease.
Al Brounstein has had Parkinson's Disease for 16 years.
This remarkable man has challenged his condition by enthusiastically maintaining
his business and family interests. It is a great honor to welcome him
to this event. Special thanks to the following contributors: Diamond Creek
Vineyards, Lay&Wheeler, Willis, Shadow Creek, Monticello Vineyards,
Duckhorn Vineyards, Frog's Leap Winery, Jancis Robinson MW, Michael Broadbent
